As this year marks the 50th anniversary of PRIZMA, the "boys" decided to celebrate the anniversary with a series of concerts in Slovenia and abroad with a strengthened line-up. They were joined by drummer Bogdan Turnšek-Poly and bassist Giovanni Toffoloni.

The concert will also take place in Izola, on Manzioli Square, on Sunday, 28 July 2024 at 20:00!

The Primorska group PRIZMA first performed in Divača on 25 May 1974 with Igor Kos, Ladi Mljač, Franci Čelhar and Vili Bertok, who was soon replaced by Danilo Kocjančič. They began their work in 1976, when, at the invitation of the then still RTV LJUBLJANA, they prepared two compositions for the youth series Pisani svet (The Written World). The two compositions became Prizma's first hits and were followed by participation in numerous festivals (Slovenska popevka, Pop delavnica, Vesela jesen, DSZG, Opatija festival, Zagreb fest, MMS....), where they received a number of first and other prizes, regularly participated in popular TV shows, filled the covers of the printed media, released two albums, one cassette and three small albums, and performed many live performances. Danilo and Franci contributed the compositions, and an important contribution was also made by an external collaborator, Drago Mislej - Mef, who contributed most of the lyrics. Between 1979 and 1983 they were undoubtedly among the elite of the Slovenian music scene. In 1987, after more than 1300 performances, the band members decided to end the Prizma story. In February 2010, Dragan Bulič organised a concert of the leading bands of the 70s and 80s in the Tivoli Hall. Prizma also performed. In view of the very good response from the audience, the original members - singer Ladi Mljač and pianist Franci Čelhar - revived the band as an acoustic trio. An additional member is guitarist Matjaž Švagelj, otherwise known for his collaboration with Slavko Ivančić and the band Kalamari.

See you in Izola!
