Luka Koper 11th Istrian Marathon: A Celebration of Sport, Tourism, and Sustainability
The Istrian Marathon is more than just a sports event – it combines sport, tourism, and sustainability, connecting four beautiful Istrian towns: Koper, Izola, Piran, and Ankaran. It is an opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle, active leisure, and the pristine, healthy environment that Istria offers.
The 11th Luka Koper Istrian Marathon will take place on April 12 and 13, 2025, with the central venue in Ankaran at Sv. Katarina.
Event Categories
Participants can choose from three distances:
- Marathon (42 km)
- Half Marathon (21 km)
- Recreational Run (10 km)
For Nordic walking enthusiasts, registrations will open in March 2025, with limited spots available (200). In total, there are 1,500 spots for the recreational run and half marathon, and 300 spots for the marathon.
Children’s Runs and Additional Opportunities
For younger participants, Kapko’s Children’s Runs will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in Ankaran. Registrations will also open in March 2025, with 500 spots available.
