Ajda Stina Turek is one of the best-known Slovenian jazz vocalists of the younger generation. She graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, and received her Master's degree from Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain, where she studied contemporary performance and music production. In 2017, she was the sole recipient of the prestigious Berklee Outstanding Jazz Vocalist Award. In 2018, while still studying in America, she released her first solo album, Sonder. In March this year, she released the album Rajska ptica (Paradise Bird) on the ZKP RTV Slovenia label, a duo with Vido Jamnik, which consists of original and Slovenian evergreen compositions and jazz standards.
