Acid Mammoth is a doom metal band from Athens, Greece, formed in 2015 by Chris Babalis Jr. (vocals & guitars) and Dimosthenis Varikos (bass), later joined by Marios Louvaris (drums) and Chris Babalis Sr. (guitars). More than just a band, they consider themselves a family.
Their self-titled debut album was self-released digitally in 2017, followed by Under Acid Hoof, a darker and heavier second album. In 2019, they signed with Heavy Psych Sounds Records, which released Under Acid Hoof in January 2020 to critical acclaim.
In 2020, Acid Mammoth participated in Doom Sessions Vol. 2, a split release with 1782. That same year, they recorded their third album, Caravan, set for release in March 2021, along with a physical pressing of their debut and a repress of Under Acid Hoof.
