RecycleMan (formerly Ali En) celebrates 30 years of Leva scena
The original king of Slovenian rap, RecycleMan (formerly known as Ali En), will perform at Hangar to mark the 30th anniversary of his groundbreaking album Leva scena. This legendary record, still regarded as one of the greatest Slovenian releases of all time, will be played live in an exclusive performance, along with other beloved hits.
Released in 1994, Leva scena left a lasting impact on Slovenian music. A funky hip-hop album infused with elements of jazz, rock, and trip-hop, it helped urbanize the Slovenian language, legitimize skater culture, and prove that rap in Slovenian can be cool. Timeless tracks like Sirni & mesni, Stremetzsky, and the title track Leva scena, where Ali En sharply criticized the music scene of the time, still sound fresh and powerful even three decades later.
RecycleMan, alongside his band, friends, and special guests, will deliver a unique performance featuring the entire cult album and other highlights from his impressive career. A must-see event proving that funk is alive, hip-hop is playful, rap carries a message, and classics remain classics.
