The legendary Sarajevo band Zabranjeno pušenje is coming to Hangar! With their revolutionary ideas and views, they brought a fresh wave of energy and direction to music – and society as a whole – back in the 1980s. From the very start, their dominant musical style has been garage rock infused with elements of ethnic music, blended with innovative production and outstanding storytelling lyrics. Unlike the prevailing Yugoslav punk and New Wave of the time, the band emerged in close connection with the cultural movement Novi primitivizam and the satirical and humorous radio and TV show Top lista nadrealista. This led to their massive breakthrough into the rock scene across Yugoslavia.
From then until today, after twelve studio albums and six live compilations, the band continues to maintain the same – if not even higher – level of quality and energy as at the beginning.
The outstanding and well-established lineup includes Davor Sučić aka Sejo Sexon, Robert Boldižar Robi, Toni Lović, Branko Trajkov Trak, Dejan Orešković Klo, and Anđela Zebec. The latest addition to the team is the talented composer and accordionist, multiple Porin award-winner Tomislav Goluban.
