Film screening: Underwater Kingdom in the Land of the Pharaohs
Location: Cultural Centre Izola
Organizer: CKŠP Izola
Time: 7.00 pm
The film Underwater Kingdom in the Land of the Pharaohs tells the story of a turtle who takes the viewer into its magical world beneath the sea. In this kingdom, harmony and balance have always reigned, despite the many contrasts that are, in fact, an essential part of this world and help maintain its equilibrium. The film depicts the relationships among fish that gather in large schools or swim alone along the coral reef, the interactions between the many colorful fish that swim vividly during the day and hide from predators at night, and the coexistence between fish and other creatures living in symbiosis.
In recent times, however, harmony and balance in this underwater kingdom have become increasingly threatened by beings entering this world in growing numbers and interfering ever more aggressively.
Will the fragile balance along the coral reef be preserved, or will life gradually disappear, leaving behind only a faint memory of a once magnificent underwater world?
In addition to the film, the author Andrej Voje will also share his experiences and adventures.
The film is in Slovenian.
