A cinematic adaptation of the bestselling novel by Bronja Žakelj, in which the author tells her own life story. Set in Ljubljana in the 1980s, the film is a touching, humorous, and inspiring tale of growing up, loss, and survival.
The story follows Bronja through different stages of her life. Her childhood world includes her parents, her brother Rok, her grandmother Dada, Benko cocoa, Albert biscuits, and the broadcast of the Sarajevo Olympics. After losing her mother to cancer, she must face the same disease herself in her twenties. She confronts countless challenges with a mix of tears, laughter, and unshakable optimism.
