The Traditional May Day Reveille

Every year on May 1st, Izola wakes up to the sounds of the traditional May Day reveille, performed by the Izola Wind Orchestra. The musicians set off through the town’s streets in the early morning hours, greeting International Workers’ Day with lively melodies. The reveille is not just a musical event but also a tribute to the community that keeps this long-standing tradition and festive spirit alive.

This year, the Izola Wind Orchestra will once again perform the traditional wake-up concert.
