In a small recreational golf club, members and staff are eagerly preparing for the annual match against their rival club. Things take a dramatic turn when the home team’s best player defects to the opponents. Old grudges flare up again, and the two club presidents strike a bet with exceptionally high stakes … It is no longer just about sport, but about honour, dignity, and revenge.

The biggest question becomes who will step in for the player who switched sides. Just when the match seems lost, a twist follows. Fortunately, among the staff there are talented young men and women who are remarkably skilled at certain things (service, golf) and far less skilled at others (love). And just when victory seems secured, another twist arrives …

It’s a story packed with golf, scheming and indulgence—ugly sweaters, new crushes, old loves, lost engagement rings, rekindled passions—and a whole lot of humour.
