Enjoy a ride in the tourist train
Hop aboard the tourist train for a carefree ride and discover Izola from a different perspective.
The tourist train operates daily from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 21:00.
The tourist train begins its journey at the stop in front of the Tourist Information Centre, from where it departs every full hour.
The first ride starts at 9:00 from the stop in front of the Tourist Information Centre (Sončno nabrežje). From there, the train heads towards Hotel Delfin and continues to Simonov zaliv, home to one of Izola’s most popular beaches. It then climbs up to Belvedere above Izola. During the ride, passengers can hop off and reboard with the same ticket when the train returns one hour later.
From Belvedere, the tourist train descends back towards Izola and continues along Morova Street, Dante Street and Cankarjev drevored to the car park near Merkur in Ruda, an ideal starting point for a walk along the coastal road. Its next stop is the bus station near the Jadranka campsite. Before completing the route, the tourist train also stops near Svetilnik Beach.
The full ride takes 1 hour.
The ticket price is €6.00 for adults and €4.00 for children.
In case of bad weather, the train does not operate.
