Location: Cultural Centre Izola

Organizer: Hofer store

Time: 10.00 am

Entrance fee: 1,00 €

A young baker with big dreams arrives in a snowy little village – he wants to open his own bakery. But he soon notices that the villagers are sad and worried, and no one wants to buy his bread. Determined to brighten their days, he starts baking cookies, but it seems as though an unlucky spell hangs over the village – nothing turns out as it should. The cookies burn, melt apart, or turn as hard as stone.

Just as he is about to give up, he finds a sleeping squirrel inside a sack of walnuts. The squirrel reveals a secret: the village was once full of joy and laughter, until a great misfortune occurred… Together they come up with a plan to bring happiness back to the villagers and put smiles on their faces again. Will the baker and the squirrel manage to chase away the dark clouds and bring joy back to the village before the holidays?

You will experience a wonderful blend of puppetry and live theatre, full of warmth, laughter, and magic. You will discover the secrets of baking bread and cookies – and above all, that happiness is most beautiful when shared with others.

By purchasing a ticket, you help spread smiles.

This charitable puppet show was created as part of the project Nasmeškotek, which has been spreading smiles for eight years. The magical Nasmeškotki bring a smile to the face of the giver, the recipient, and also to students from less-privileged families supported by the Student Fund of the Botrstvo v Sloveniji programme.

All proceeds from ticket sales are added to the donation for the Student Fund of the Botrstvo v Sloveniji programme. You can also support students with every donated charitable Nasmeškotek. You can find them exclusively on the shelves of HOFER stores.
