Notice of road closures for the Fisherman's Festival, August 23 & 24

Please be informed that for the traditional public event Fisherman's Festival in Izola on August 23 and 24, 2024, the organizer, Center for Culture, Sports, and Events Izola, in accordance with the permit issued by the Office for Economic Activities, Investments, and Municipal Development of the Municipality of Izola, will implement the following road closures:

- Phase I: From Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 6:00 AM to Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 6:00 PM, there will be a closure of Sončno Nabrežje, Lonka parking lot, Veliki trg, Krpanova street, and streets intersecting the event areas.

- Phase II: From Friday, August 23, 2024, at 6:00 AM to Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 6:00 PM, there will be a closure of the town center west of Gregorčičeva street, including Gregorčičeva street.

- Phase III: On Friday, August 23, 2024, and Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM the following day, there will be a closure of the unnamed street behind Kosaki.

- Phase IV: Complete closure of the area north of Prešernova street on Friday, August 23, 2024, and Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM the following day. Access to the "Argolina" and "Tomažičeva" parking lots will be possible via Morova street and Dantejeva street. If the parking spaces in the area are full, the closure may be lifted earlier, between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

-Phase V: Complete closure of the area north of Prešernova street on Friday, August 23, 2024, and Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM the following day. The closure will be implemented after the planned parking spaces in the "Argolina" and "Tomažičeva" parking lots have been filled.

During these closures, there will be no detours, and traffic will be disrupted throughout the center of Izola and in certain other streets.

We encourage anyone requiring delivery access to the event area during the closures to obtain the necessary delivery permit in advance from the organizer’s office at the Center for Culture, Sports, and Events Izola, Ulica oktobrske revolucije No. 1, or by calling 00386 70 894 788.

All road users are kindly requested to be patient and to strictly observe traffic signs and the instructions of the relevant authorities.
